All students of qualifying age living within the boundaries of Texas City ISD (see map) are eligible for public education in this district. 

During the School Year
Registration will take place on each individual campus. Parents are asked to contact their school office to make an appointment. Campus office hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you are unsure about which school your child should attend, please call the Transportation Office at 409-916-0140.

Required Documentation
Parents need to provide the following documents when registering their children for school:

• Enrolling parent’s or guardian’s current photo identification, such as a driver’s license.
• Two proofs of residency within the school attendance zone.
  • Homeownership or current signed lease listing student’s name;
  • A gas, electric, cable, water or home telephone bill from the last 30 days
  • Food stamps or Medicaid verification.
• Copy of the child’s birth certificate or other document suitable as proof of the child’s identity.
• Child’s immunization record.
• Copy of records from school most recently attended by your child. If you have the withdrawal form from your child’s previous school, please supply that for enrollment also.
• Copy of child’s Social Security card (optional).

When you move within the district, the TCISD requires that you re-submit proof of residency to the school office. Proof of address can be in the forms listed above. 

Registration for new TCISD students including Kindergarten 
Registration for students new to TCISD will take place in Texas City ISD on Wednesday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Simpson Education Support Center, located at 1700 Ninth Avenue North. This registration is for all new students who have not previously been enrolled in any TCISD campus, including PPCD, Pre-K or Headstart programs. All returning students will register online at a later date. In order to speed up the registration process, parents of new students can download forms that can be filled out at home and brought to registration. The forms are linked below in the "Online Forms" section. Registration for new students will not be finalized until a nurse reviews their immunizations. Parents will need to bring the required documentation listed above. *Students who require special residency forms to register, should register on campus on August 6 or 7. Returning TCISD Students
Parents can begin registering returning Texas City ISD students online through Home Access Center beginning Monday, July 1. The online instructions are available if you need assistance. Parents who do not have access to a computer may register their children online from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays in July at Texas City High School Library computer lab. Personnel (including bilingual staff) will be available to assist any parent with the registration process. Proof of residency documentation can also be submitted on Tuesdays at the TCHS site. From June 10 through August 1, a summer registration clerk will be available to assist and answer questions in the Simpson Education Support Center, located at 1700 Ninth Avenue North, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parents can also call the Registration Hotline at 409-916-0185 or Email Registration. * Students who require special residency forms to register, should register at the campus on August 6 or 7.

New Returning Students
New students who have been previously enrolled in Texas City ISD will register on their campus on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are unsure about which school your child should attend, please call the Transportation Office at 409-916-0140.
