What you need to know about enrolling your child in Texas City ISD
All students of qualifying age living within the boundaries of Texas City ISD (see map) are eligible for public education in this district. 

Students Enrolling During the School Year
Registration will take place on each individual campus. Parents are asked to contact their school office to make an appointment. Campus office hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you are unsure about which school your child should attend, please call the Transportation Office at 409-916-0140.

Required Documentation
Parents need to provide the following documents when registering their children for school:

  • Enrolling parent’s or guardian’s current photo identification, such as a driver’s license.
  • Two proofs of residency within the school attendance zone.
    • Homeownership or current signed lease listing student’s name;
    • A gas, electric, cable, water or home telephone bill from the last 30 days
    • Food stamps or Medicaid verification.
  • Copy of the child’s birth certificate or other document suitable as proof of the child’s identity.
  • Child’s immunization record.
  • Copy of records from school most recently attended by your child. If you have the withdrawal form from your child’s previous school, please supply that for enrollment also.
  • Copy of child’s Social Security card (optional).

When you move within the district, the TCISD requires that you re-submit proof of residency to the school office. Proof of address can be in the forms listed above. 

Back to School 2014-2015
Registration for new TCISD students including Kindergarten 
Registration for students new to TCISD will take place in Texas City ISD on Tuesday, June 17 from 12 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Simpson Education Support Center, located at 1700 Ninth Avenue North. This registration is for all new students who have not previously been enrolled in any TCISD campus, including PPCD, Pre-K or Headstart programs. All returning students will register online at a later date. In order to speed up the registration process, parents of new students can download forms that can be filled out at home and brought to registration. The forms are linked below in the "Online Forms" section. Registration for new students will not be finalized until a nurse reviews their immunizations. Parents will need to bring the required documentation listed above.

Registration for Existing TCISD Students
Parents can register returning Texas City ISD students online through Home Access Center beginning Tuesday, July 1 until Thursday, July 31. The online instructions are available if you need assistance. Parents who need assistance or those who do not have access to a computer may register their children online from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on each Tuesday in July (starting July 8th) at Texas City High School Library computer lab. Personnel (including bilingual staff) will be available to assist any parent with the registration process. Proof of residency documentation can also be submitted on Tuesdays at the TCHS site.

From June 10 through July 29, a summer registration clerk will be available to assist and answer questions in the Simpson Education Support Center, located at 1700 Ninth Avenue North, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parents can also call the Registration Hotline at 409-916-0185 or Email Registration.

***Note: The online registration process cannot be completed on an iPad or iPhone. Pop-up blockers must be disabled.

Registration for New Returning Students
New students who have been previously enrolled and withdrawn from Texas City ISD will register on their campus on Tuesday, August 5th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Wednesday, August 6th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Blocker Middle School students will need to register at TCHS since the new campus will not be ready on these dates. If you are unsure about which school your child should attend, please call the Transportation Office at 409-916-0140. Please bring all the required documentation listed in the previous section and enrollment, bus contract, medication form, volunteer criminal history check and any special residency forms that are all linked below.

Time: 5-5:30 p.m. for three year olds, 5:30-6 p.m. for new four year olds and 6-6:30 p.m. for bilingual with meet the teacher to follow each section

Blocker Middle School Orientation
Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2014
Time: 7th Graders 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and 8th Graders 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
Informational meetings will be held with each grade level in the auditorium. Meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. for 7th grade students and parents and 7:00 p.m. for 8th grade students and parents. During orientation, students will also have a chance to pick up their schedule and visit their new teachers and classrooms.
New Blocker T-shirts and other school spirit items will be available for sale for $15 during campus orientation.  

Texas City High School Schedules & Textbooks
Schedules, textbooks and I.D.s can be picked up on Friday, August 15th from 1 - 6 p.m. in the Reef at TCHS.

Texas City High School Fish Camp
Date: Tuesday, August 12, 2014
